Mobile Inventory Application
Story
SEAKR Engineering is an aerospace engineering organization with roughly 400 employees encompassing two facilities in Denver, Colorado. Incorporated in 1983, SEAKR had followed a long-standing procedure for procuring parts, receiving materials, storing them in inventory, creating kits and ultimately using them on the manufacturing floor.
Although IFS ERP enabled SEAKR to track and share operational data, the desktop-only environment required manual entry at stationary computers. This was time-consuming and forced workers to walk back and forth between materials and computers, reducing productivity.
Solution
SEAKR approached Nayo Technologies looking for a mobile IFS app that could perform all the same functions as the IFS desktop system, but could be run on a mobile device.
SEAKR wanted a mobile scanner that could record information by scanning barcodes, streamlining recording and sharing.
Nayo developed the application Parts @ SEAKR from the ground up, translating beneficial IFS features into a mobile solution.
Benefits
The app went live on June 1 and significantly reduced the time it took employees to record dock receipts and route items. It improved kit build tracking and provided real-time visibility into item locations, streamlining data collection.
Nayo Difference
Nayo’s commitment to excellent service and vast knowledge of IFS and the mobile application environment allowed them to quickly build and deliver the application. Design specs were signed off on January 1st and the app was delivered in five months; little training was required.
